Meaning of dignity;

Dignity means the quality or state of being worthy of esteem or respect.

Global Dignity;  

Global Dignity is an independent, non-political organization. Their project is the universal right of every human being to lead a dignified life. The organization was established in 2006 by Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, John Hope Bryant and Pekka Himanen.

The Dignity project has formulated five dignity principles:

   A dignified life means an opportunity to fulfil one’s potential, which is based on having a humane level of health care, education, income and security.
2. Dignity means having the freedom to make decisions on one’s life and to be met with respect for this right.
3. Dignity should be the basic guiding principle for all actions.
4. Ultimately, our own dignity is interdependent with the dignity of others.
   5. Every human being has a right to lead a dignified life.
   

   Global Dignity Day;

     Global Dignity Day is the third Wednesday in October and has been organized since 2008. We invite you to do a Dignity Day any day of the year, but Global Dignity Day is our main annual event.
   

   Beacon house school system celebrating dignity day;

   Beacon house school system celebrated dignity day by giving cards and flowers to the workers of BSS. We thanked them for working so hard and keeping the school so clean and green.
   pWe thanked the guards for taking care of us and our school. All of them were very happy.
   We should behave nicely with all the workers. Although they are poor and belong to lower classes but we should always keep them happy.
